In March 2020, the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission made 82 recommendations to help the United States secure its interests in cyberspace. Since then, the Commission has produced five white papers, adding to the set of recommendations proposed by the Commission. More than a year later, the Commission's 2021 Annual Report on Implementation reviews these recommendations, the progress made toward their implementation, and the next steps needed.

On August 12, 2021, Commission Co-Chairs, staff, and outside experts held a discussion of the Commission's progress to date. The discussion focused on areas of congressional and executive action, remaining barriers to the implementation of Commission recommendations, and the path forward for national cyber policy.
