Dr. Benjamin Jensen is the Senior Research Director and lead writer for the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission. He holds a dual appointment as a Professor of Strategic Studies at the School of Advanced Warfighting, Marine Corps University and Scholar-in-Residence at American University, School of International Service and serves as a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. Dr. Jensen has published three books including most recently Military Strategy in the 21st Century: People, Connectivity and Competition (2018) and Cyber Strategy: the Evolving Character of Power and Coercion (2018, co-authored). He has worked with multiple government agencies and think tanks to develop war games, crisis simulations and studies on future trends, disruptive technology, strategy and the changing character of competition. In addition to his academic publications, Dr. Jensen writes regularly for War on the Rocks and the Washington Post (Monkey Cage). Outside of academia, he is an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve with the 75th Innovation Command.
